We just got back from a convention there and it was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everything was so smooth at the convention, meals were great and everything was clean. Our room was nice and clean. The balcony was great to sit on after long days of meetings/classes. Great venue!

Wonderful one night stay
Had a way better than anticipated overnight stay at the Gaylord Texan. ALL of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Excellent dining experience at the Old Hickory Steakhouse (surprisingly casual dress code), and a very relaxing facial at the Relache Spa. We look forward to a return visit.

Very nice play for a couple or family. Bring $$$$!
Atrium view room was very nice, especially, during the Christmas season when we stayed. LED light show and music was very nice. Not sure if the room was worth over $600, though. (It wasn't THAT nice). Restaurant offerings were good, but, very high priced. Bring lots of money. Parking sucked and had to walk a long way. The valet service was not available at the time, even though, we would have paid the high price.

Over rated
Asked fir a roll away upob early check in (12:00) for the grand kids for nap time, along with six extra towels as there were six of us in the room. By 3:00, still no roll away or towels so sent out a second request. After events and dinner, off site, still no rroll away or towels. Went to the desk and requested again. Roll away was delivered at 10:30pm, after kids were asleep. Request for towels was sent again in the morning. Towels finally arrived at 10:45, as we were walking out fir 11:00 am check out. On another note, Ice event was too crowded to enjoy, as everyone was allowed in without knowing how many people had exited. Over priced for experience. Merry and Light lights were wonderful. If we come back, we will do just the Merry and Light without bying a package of events (5 events at 30% discount for 6 people cost $645). Ice skating was so crowded, you couldn't find a space to put on skates, let alone skate. tubing lines were 45 min. or more, Ginger bread cookies were small and decorations limited, the House would have been a better option. Snow ball throwing was disappointing as you only get a small bucket and a target, not like natural throwing. Merry go round was relaxing, but short. Lights and music in the atrium was relaxing and enjoyable.
