Quiet but minimal food options
I asked for a quiet and peaceful room. The super kind front desk lady pointed me to the perfect corner of the complex. No neighbors, no street noise. It exceeded my quiet wishes. It was about half hour to Yosemite valley, so reasonable. My only gripe is the food options. They have a bar/grill and a restaurant. The grill had maybe 5 choices that consisted of fried foods. The restaurant was never open. There were no other options.

They are renovating so there is a little construction right now. the rooms where clean ample supplies. The beds could use new mattresses and possibly an extra blanket for the winter months! Rooms have coffee make and fridge so that is helpful. You have to pay extra for the wifi, its not included int the price and it is a separate purchase you have to make on your phone. Its nice to be this close to Yosemite gate. The food is pretty good though basic, and pricy but worth it not to have to travel off the property.

10/10 Exceptional

Clean hotel near El portal entrance
Our stay was awesome. We originally booked a king bed room with a hot tub, but we ended up bringing our daughter. I asked if we could get an extra roll away in the room and instead we were upgraded to a suite. The room had a Murphy bed, and 2 queen beds. The beds and TVs are a bit outdated, but the room was very clean. There is a full kitchen (we didn’t use). The staff was very friendly. We will definitely back there again. Next time we’ll probably bring our own food. Food menus and quality at all local restaurants is just ok.

2/10 Poor

Totally Uncomfortable!!
The lodge advertised 2 restaurants on the property, which is important as there are few places to eat. It turns out that the restaurants are only next door, operated by a different company. The desk clerk "knew nothing" about when they would be open. One of them was never open during the 4 days we were there. The other was only open on some evenings. So NO Breakfast or lunch!! The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom. The bed had a saggy mattress and the sheets did not cover the mattress, and were also of a polyester fabric that was extremely uncomfortable. There were no blankets on the bed, only a thin polyester fabric topper. Also, the coffee in the lobby was horrible. It looked like dirty dishwater, . . .really.

Convenient
Conveniently located to Yosemite. On site Restuarant was a plus. The bed was not very comfortable but the room was clean. No room service so we had to hunt down clean towels after getting back late.
