Clean and a Good Value
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool and sauna area was a fun place to escape the snow. Overall it was a good value for the area. The only thing we missed was the free breakfast that was listed that apparently they don’t serve anymore.

Miss communication
Hotels.com shortened my name to Eli Tro from Elizabeth Troffer so when I checked in and gave my full name the front desk turned me away. She didn’t make the connection (or give me the, “I have Eli Tro”. Option. So that was annoying and drove an hour in the dark on icy roads fearing I had no place to stay. We called her back and when she then said, I have an Eli Tro we where like OMG that’s me Elizabeth troffer!!! So dumb and a waist of time when we were cold, tired, and hungry.

The room was clean. The wooden floor was a plus. Great location where close to Dimond Peak Ski Resort and some local restaurants. The bed was not very conformable though. It made creaking sound when got on and off bed. The heater was noisy, too.

One little thing....
During a 10-11 day stay, there were two days where work being done on the property was head-pounding. I wish there had been a warning during check-in. After bring it to the staff's attention for the second time, the noise stopped. Everything else was fine! Oh...and the WiFi was iffy, but mountains will do that!

Nice inn in Incline, but no more breakfast!
Here are some great things about the Parkside Inn: it's in a great location, just downhill from the Diamond Peak ski area; the rooms are spacious and clean and warm and have AMAZING showers; and the indoor pool was heated comfortably (this year -- last year it was FREEZING!). Here are some downsides: it is very loud on the first floor, so if you're an early-to-bed family, request a second floor room; they are very stingy with the towels; and there is no longer any kind of breakfast to speak of. The breakfast has been going downhill, so I shouldn't have been surprised, but was nonetheless dismayed to find at 7:15, when we were ready to get out the door and hit the slopes, the breakfast room was locked and dark. A few minutes later, someone came in and eventually put out hot water and coffee, but no food. There's a microwave, so if you bring your own food, you can warm it up, but despite what Trip Advisor and other places say, there is NO LONGER any kind of complimentary breakfast. And depending on how early you want to get out the door, there may not even be any coffee or option for warming your own food. There ARE in-room fridges, which work great, but no microwaves, so any BYO breakfasts need to be able to be eaten cold.
