Lovely - friendly - stylish - comfort
Our trip was a little treat for ourselves as we had booked tickets for a gig at the theatre. We couldn't have been happier. from the warm welcome, the spotlessly clean room, the plentiful and extensive breakfast buffet, the lovely pool, sauna and steam room, the relaxing bar and lounge we could not find fault. The personal touches were appreciated as was the friendliness shown by all the staff including the owners. Definitely recommended

Good 6.0
Obviously good for some people but details missing
The room was lovely and the maid service first class. The location is good and the public areas are very comfortable with pictures, mirrors , sofas and decor of a high standard. The food at breakfast is adequate but no more, and seems to have deteriorated over time. There were no bread products, only toast with cheap bread although it was served at the table. There were no continental choices, no seeds for the fruit which was tinned with fresh choices limited to melon and pineapple. But the worst experience was the “afternoon tea” which was indescribably awful. We called the owner to look at what had been presented. Instead of accepting the problem she complained about being called out and said the hotel had been running for 72 years. That was true but the tea was dreadful in anyone’ eyes. She took the £35 off the bill but did not apologise or take her hat and coat off. Very disappointed.

Cracking stay!
Only stopped for a few days but left completely relaxed thanks in no small part to the excellent, hardworking staff who can’t do enough for you. Great food and facilities like steam and sauna, swimming pool and gym and a mere stones throw from the beach. What more could you ask for? Will definitely be going again.

Classic style with amazing evening meal
We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s an older property so you need to be happy with decor fitting the era and style of the property. The rooms were okay size and, as already said, were an older style. The dining areas and bar, as well as the gym, were more modern. What made the whole stay lovely was the evening dinner experience, with a relaxing drink in the lounge whilst the team took our orders and made a table ready. We enjoyed a fantastic 4 course meal plus champagne and wine for the 3 of us at a very reasonable price. I would say we are not the regular customers at the hotel, being a bit younger but we felt very welcome and had a great evening. Was disappointing that the jacuzzi pool wasn’t working and there was so sign up. Couple of tips from us:- Parking - hotel has 3 areas of parking so drive around until you find it, or ask at reception. Eating in - Definitely recommend the main restaurant over the other one (which overlooks the pool)
