Great family friendly vacation spot. Will be back for another stay.
Stay was fine But somehow hotels.com was not good: Hotel only had your reservation for 1 room, not 2 Luckily they had an extra room, but took 15 minutes more to get it figured out and done, so delayed little ones getting to pool Please check your info and try to not have this happen again Also,0please give us credit for 1 night stay x 2 rooms Thanks
When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted by the normal hustle and bustle you would expect from a water park geared towards family getaways. It was a site to see specially since the COVID pandemic. The staff at Grand Harbor was vigilant and stayed up on guests wearing their masks when in the public areas of the hotel, as well as walking around out of the pool in the waterpark. I do not want my review to take away from their efforts to keep their guests safe. However, I felt like would have been safer sleeping on the floor than on the bed. the top sheet on my bed had what appeared to be the remnants of mold. My mattress had what appeared to be a visible blood stain that was seen through the fitted sheet. The one towel I happened to use during my stay had a brown stain on it. I specifically paid more to stay at grand harbor thinking it would be my “clean option”. Instead I ended up feeling like I paid way too much to stay at overpriced hourly motel. Won’t be staying again
Lamps in room did not work. I waited in line and 3 other customers got helped before me because they were not in line.
Grand Harbor is fine. It’s reasonably clean and the water park is nice. The arcade is terrible- at least half the games are broken and not marked so they just steal your money. Most of the life guards weren’t wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly but then they came around to make sure guests out of the water had masks on. The hot continental breakfast food is almost inedible- there was zero seasoning. They also have you wear gloves and serve yourself which makes me very uneasy. They should really have someone stationed there to serve the guests during a pandemic. The restaurant is similarly not good and way overpriced for what it is. The service was decent.
Water park is a little rusty but nice. I’d go back. Breakfast was free and good.
The attendant we checked in with was very friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again!
We loved the view of the river. We didn’t read the fine print for the waterpark and realize it had VERY LIMITED hours. This was VERY disappointing.
Hotel had excellent social distancing at the main entrance. Personally felt that the breakfast area could have used some cleaning in-between people sitting at the tables. Several tables that were available were very dirty. Should have had hand sanitizer at the beginning of the buffet line since everyone touches the same utensils.
Great price! Window in room was covered in hand prints. Elevator was sketchy, needs to be repaired. Rest of room was clean.
