Above and Beyond
We had a passport problem that delayed us leaving the country. We came here to stay, while we sorted it out. The Melia staff, to a person, were incredibly kind, helpful, and went out of their way to help us have both a pleasant stay, and even get information, from the government, about the hours for offices, information on where we needed to go, as some addresses provided on paperwork were wrong, etc. I had a previous stay, in Cuba, several years ago, where we arrived to a hotel that was shuttered due to Hurricane Maria. Melia, there, helped us navigate how to switch hotels without having to go home. It was why I booked this one. I was not disappointed. Excellence in service is a brand thing, at Melia. I am so appreciative of the kindness, and professionalism of the staff at Melia Hotels that I will now make a point of staying at them, if they’re in cities where I’m traveling.

Poor service and rude concierge
The service was disappointing, especially the room service. They forgot to bring items I had ordered and didn’t fix the issue until 30 min later. The concierge I did the check out with was plain rude. They were charging me for the stay, which I had already paid upfront, and he didn’t believe me saying I had to pay the whole thing. I told him 3 times that I had already paid that. I asked him to look into it and with a 1 min phone call he got the confirmation my stay had been paid upfront. He didn’t apologize and continued to be rude. It was a weird and unexpected experience.

Staff was really nice and helpful. However, I was unlucky to be placed in a room next to very lousy and obnoxious guests who turned my stay into a nightmare, preventing me from sleeping. I complained many times, but the staff couldn't convince the guests to be quiet as demands hotel rules, law, and general regulation. I had to leave the hotel and go somewhere else to rest. Very disappointed and appalled.

Business stay in Campinas
Melia is a very clean and modern hotel in Campinas. The staff is very friendly - the breakfast buffet and dinner options were very good. It is located in a nice neighborhood with good restaurants and a gym within walking distance.
