Where to start. The hotel is advertised as ski in ski out... this isn’t the case which was very disappointing. You have to get a shuttle bus to the slopes. We had booked two rooms, each with a King bed but we ended up having two separate beds in each room instead. The fire alarm went off at 8am the first morning and 1.30am the next morning. Each time, the staff didn’t seem to care that we’d gone down to reception fully clothed, instead just looking at us blankly and bluntly saying “it’s a mistake and not a real emergency”. We used the pool one evening (which was rammed), only to be charged €15 when checking out - despite no one ever informing us that there was a charge to go to the pool area. The staff really didn’t seem to care (except for the exception of one lady working in the ski hire room - who was excellent). Only plus of hotel is the ski hire room which is located inside for convenience. Rarely write reviews, but thought it’d be nice to warn others.
The Hotel overall was good. Rooms and bed were more than comfortable. Strange shower but bathroom was ok. Breakfast was generally good. The pastry & bakery section was excellent, cold cheeses and meats were very good, Cooked food was not great and tepid. Spa was terrible. Used it once as you have to pay €8 which wasn’t indicated anywhere in the booking. Full of screaming children running around, practicing their bombs and just generally being kids (which is fine if you like going to a Spa for that reason) but it’s not a place to go and chill after a day on the slopes. Getting to the slopes. The minibus drivers were great fun and really helpful. I would advise getting there first thing or later as peak time you’ll have to wait for 20-30 minutes as the queue gets really big. Same thing on the way back get there early or last thing. Would stay there again if the price is right but it definitely has a few issues.
It’s a lovely hotel with good food ( weinky had breakfast included)
Was not what was advertised. Told 2 double beds. Got 2 single beds.
Hotel ran regular shuttles to the Gondola . A mix up with Expedia booking over rate and tariff was sorted quickly and easily by the staff . Would certainly recommend this hotel , food selection for all meals was fine and bar staff friendly and helpful .
Great hotel for skiing. Good price and nice accommodation. Food was good too. Will return
A 2 min d'El Tarter. Dommage que l'accès à la piscine soit payant ! Et non signalé lors de la réservation. Personnel très agréables. On reviendra sûrement.
