Good location for museum visits
Convenient location near museums and canal and shopping dining options. But no nearby public transport, so arrival and departure likely require taxi. Hotel desk staff more bossy than helpful, but provided assistance when pressed. Pleasant rooms and public spaces.

Great place and good location especially if your plans revolve around the museums. Beginning to show a little after but nothing a coat of paint and new blackout drapes couldn’t fix.

Pay for the view
I am surprised that this hotel has such high ratings. However, I am aware that people have difficulty standards for cleanliness and service. I, personally, felt the service was atrocious. One bright spot was the worker who checked us in. She got us new clean sheets and actually helped me put them on the beds. It was very kind. The sheets had stains and bite of hair on them. I can imagine they were not changed before we arrived. The view was amazing and likely what we were paying for and expected to put over the lack of proper service. The bathroom needs updating and the tub is too high. I almonds hurt myself getting out of it the first night. We had paid for breakfast included option. The first morning we went down there we were met by an aggressive lady who I am guessing runs the kitchen during breakfast hours. We arrived around 10:30 am. Breakfast is until 11 am. She screamed at my sister several times. She was very nasty and just unprofessional. The buffet was unclean. Empty jars, crumbs of food left behind. Just dirty. I have never stayed at a hotel where breakfast was included that made the breakfast buffet seem like a “first come, first serve” and when it’s gone, that’s it. Why am I paying for the breakfast buffet if I am not guaranteed food? My sister went downstairs another day at an earlier time, around 8 am. She stated there was barely any food left. One worker said, “who are they?” When we walked in one day. So yea, no, thank you.
