Very basic. But it was all I required.

Hotel was good and convenient for town centre with a car park across the road Our room was round the back over the kitchen so could be a bit noisy

Disappointing stay
Room was clean however couldn't sleep as loud drip outside the room all night and it sounded as though furniture was being moved around at 4.30am. I have previously stayed at the hotel and room was perfect. Avoid room 103

Fine for one night
This hotel was fine for one night. It seems like the owner has bought an older, run down hotel and given it a face lift. The entrance area is a combined reception and bar, with a small amount of seating and TV. The restaurant appears to be shared with an Indian restaurant next door. There is no elevator which makes third floor rooms interesting to reach. The room itself is basic, with the "style" provided by a large wall covering. The bed was comfortable enough for one night. The shower was capable of removing skin if turned up to maximum. Although the service I received from the reception and breakfast staff was great, I'd probably look for another hotel in the area if I stayed again. It's clear someone has put a new coat of paint on a fairly tired building.

Location great, building not so.
The building is old and makes for very creaky floors and relatively small rooms. The view will either be a busy, noisy commuter street or the back of an office block. The small TV constantly lost wifi signal. No Air conditioning. However location is very central, sandwiched between The Oracle and the high street and only 5 mins from the station, so for entertainment or food on an evening you have everything you need very close by. Staff were friendly.
