Don’t plan on breakfast!
They were overbooked, but they just finished fixing a room that day so we were able to get stay. My only complaint was that I went down to get breakfast a second after my wife did and they had shut the doors to the breakfast bar area and told me I wasn’t allowed to get breakfast. This really torqued me!! One of the reasons we stayed here, so I won’t be staying here again. We stay in Dubuque about 24 times a year, so this place is going to miss out. Pretty sad one family member gets to eat, but doesn’t allow the other family member to eat a minute later.

Room was clean. Bathroom could have used a fan. Could hear activity and noise in hallway. Breakfast dining room area could have been kept up with better. Tables and chairs could of been wiped more often. Monday breakfast.cere. al no milk..no napkins no plastic a wear⁴. had to go find a girl sleeping at computer to stock breakfast ⁴.

Quiet hotel in a convenient location
The hotel is in a very quiet location. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The only negative I would say is the website didn't indicate there was a change in the food service. We went thinking we would get a hot breakfast and instead got a grab bag that was less than stellar. Overall, the hotel is excellent.

David, the desk manager, was fantastic!! Kind, helpful, amiable, and remembered our names each time we saw him. The only "issues" were a loose toilet and the toilet paper holder needed to be anchored to the wall. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. The hotel is well located, central to everything.

The room was clean and reasonably quiet. Poor temperature regulation though. My main complaint was that we were told we would have a hot breakfast. A line formed for scrambled eggs and they were served. They were cold, I mean like out of the refrigerator. No warning or anything, just dished out like it’s normal to eat eggs out of the refrigerator. When people complain the explanation was that the oven isn’t working and no one knew what to do. Really?

Everything was very nice at this Hampton Inn - very clean and comfortable! My only negative comment would be the breakfast - I understand COVID guidelines, however, you were able to serve Jimmy Dean sandwiches and Bagel egg toppers...why couldn't you do that with the waffle makers as well or provide other breakfast buffet items and just serve them too? Again, your hotel was really great - just didn't understand the COVID restrictions on some of the breakfast part. Thank you!
