When I’m Rome…
We have stayed at Hotel Savoy several times and we are never disappointed. We like the location. The staff is very accommodating and does everything to make your stay enjoyable. It is and always will be our go to hotel when in Rome.

Not close
The hotel is ‘pleasant’ probably needs an upgrade for the amount they charge. If you have issues walking probably not the hotel for you not really that close to the main tourist sights and it’s on top of a hill.

Very bad experience
Please do not expect 4 star service, most like 2-3 star and make sure you do not pay more when you checking out. They want to charge me for service restaurant that I have not received. After saying that, they deducted the amount of €60 and I pay for I suppose to pay. The room are very clean but the furniture are very old- dated. I have paid €199 per night so is not worth it the money!

Well-located classic hotel in Rome
The location just off Via Veneto is excellent and the property is elegant, but a little tired. We had a classic double room with a queen bed. The bed was comfortable with nice linens, and while not a very large room, it was spacious enough for a couple. The bathroom was a little tight, but typical for Europe. The finishes in the bathroom were showing their age with hard water stains on the marble wall tiles and bathtub shower glass. The hairdryer was one of those old ones attached to the wall that overheated and shut off before I finished drying my hair. The toiletry supplies provided by the hotel were nice as well as the towels. We had an aperitivo on the rooftop terrace and the service and ambiance up there were very good. We also ate dinner the next evening on the terrace and again the service was very attentive and the food was average continental style cuisine, but healthy and nicely prepared. We were each offered a glass of limoncello at the end of our meal, which was much appreciated. Overall, we had a good stay and thought the value for the price we paid was great. We would definitely return.

My Not Romantic Experience in Rome
We have arrived around 5pm on the day and have been given our room without explanation of where the room is where the breakfast is served or any other information. After we checked in, we went to the room and noticed that the room is really cold but decided that will put the aircon on and will be fine. After we came back that evening the room was still really cold as the aircon was blowing a cold air. We switched it off, as was after 12am and when to inform the reception in the morning and the receptionist said they will send someone up to check it. They did not offer any heater or any extra blankets...but I asked for just in case as they seem not interested about the complaint. We had some blankets send and went out for the day. In the evening no one informed us if they have been up to see the aircon, so ones we tried to switch it on was again blowing only cold we used the blankets and went in the morning to ask at the reception what was happening. I am a gold member at Hotels.com and was expecting a little bit extra service of a 4-star hotel and the amount of money we are paying. They did look at each other and said that the aircon can’t be fixed and that is it. I said can we be moved; they did not answer. I’ve asked them as they left a welcome bottle part of my Gold package free to have, but never left a bottle opener so what I am supposed to do, they said take the bottle to the bar and they will open it for you. The English breakfast that was served every day was cold
