Convenience in Chelsea
The hotel is clean. Staff is courteous and helpful. Room is very small, but comfortable enough. Having the kitchenette was good for storing and heating food. Complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus too. Great location - close to Subway and Penn Station.

On arrival there was a smell of marijuana & the hotel thought it was ok to leave their cleaning trolley right outside our room. Apart from that, everything else was fine. Breakfast was really nice & lots to offer. Location wise, perfect. Five minutes away from Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Penn Station & lots of shops to eat at. Hotel was clean & beds were comfy. Would deffo visit again

Manageable but not elevated.
Our room would have been very comfortable for one, but for two it was a bit crowded, as was the hotel. We predicted this and booked a kitchenette room, but were told on arrival that this type of room was not available. No refund or price adjustment was offered. While the accommodations were clean and comfortable - linens, toiletries, etc - the feeling in the hotel was quite hectic as thousands of guests tried to access elevators, breakfast, etc. Overall, our stay was manageable but not the elevated experience we expect from Marriott.

Nice cozy room.
Good location. Subway entrance half block away. About 3 blocks from Penn Station. Always like having a kitchenette room for the fridge and sink. Rooms are cozy (small) but as we are not spending much time in the room it is not an issue for us. If you are bringing full size suitcases, good luck! There is not much room so the suitcases will probably be in your way. When checking in, if they ask if you need a stovetop in your kitchenette, say yes. It gets you a slightly larger room. Not a bad buffet breakfast and a friendly staff who were always happy to help when asked.
