Our Standard Double Room was very clean upon arrival but significantly smaller than we thought - made it a bit difficult with 2 large suitcases for my husband and I. The bathroom was especially small. AC worked well in the room & it was nice being able to open the window during the day. There is a small tv in the room but no cable or streaming provided - we didn't feel comfortable logging into our own streaming accounts. While the room was clean, we never received fresh towels at any point which would have been greatly appreciated after 14 hour days of walking around the city. We even left them on the floor each day hoping to get new ones and we didn't. The breakfast at the hotel was great with a variety of pastries, juice, and coffee. Something we didn't like about the hotel was that you're not allowed to hold onto your room key if you step outside the hotel. The staff makes you return the room key each morning you leave and then knock on the lobby door to get back in at night, and then will give the key back to you. We've never seen this before and felt it was a nuisance to do this for almost a week. There is a bus stop near by and a metro station a bit of a walk from the hotel. The hotel did seem far from most things. There is a bakery right in front of the hotel that was delicious, a small market near by, and a pharmacy. Overall the hotel met our needs but we wouldn't stay again mostly due to the room size and location.

Room was small but spotlessly clean and the elevator is tiny (two people or one person and a suitcase maximum!) but the staff was AMAZING. Short walk to Metro, pharmacy, mini-supermarket or to Contrascarpe Square where there are a ton of great cafes. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.
