A little bit old-fashioned but enough for a stay
We arrived at the hotel at 11.30 PM and we had (probably I think) the last room available on the upper floor. A little bit scary when we headed up because we have to turn on the lighting by our own. The lift was the old kind of type. I think the room could be cleaned better as there was some dusk on the wood. Apart from the hairdryer which you need to get it from the reception or there are no slippers, everything was basically provided. We were surprised that there was a fridge in our room. Location is quite good as it is right next to Vaci Street and the river side. Easy access to public transport is the selling point of this hotel.

Cheap and slightly cheerful
Very outdated hotel, we didn’t even go back for the included breakfast we paid for the second day. Beds were comfy however. Room was pretty old but then again this was the cheapest hotel around, and clearly for good reason

Not good
Generally good location. Staff are not very friendly. One thing I’m most unsatisfied with is the tricky way from reception to room, narrow and dim, many stairs up and down, has been very tough for the traveler with big suitcase.

Perfect location, helpful staff
This was a great hotel in a perfect location for a city break in Budapest. Right next to the Elisabeth Bridge, so just a short walk to most of the main sights on both sides of the river. The hotel staff were really helpful. One of the guys in reception helped us book a taxi to the airport and told us how to find the only post office open on a Saturday. They also made a take-away breakfast for us on the morning we had to leave early for the airport. Wifi in the room was really good.

Very nice. Came in at 1 am. It was very weird. It was like coming on a Dracula movie set....Weird....other than that, perfectly fine. I would go again.

Great location, just the job for what we needed. Clean and tidy. Bit dated but such good value for money it didn't matter. Good breakfast. Beds OK for a short stay. We'd go back if we visited Budapest again.

Poor 2.0
The worst hotel we stayed in our entire life!
Check-in proces took about 50 minutes to complete even though there was only one guest before us. The staff is very rude, couldn't help with regular requests, for example we asked for a baby crib in the room that we got without a mattress - just some wood, yes, wood (the baby couldn't sleep on that) so we asked for a mattress and what we got was some towels to soften the wood. When I went down to reception to ask for a fix he told me that it is my problem that I came at the evening when the housekeeping is not there to help. Hot water were done in about 5 minutes, the hotel is very dirty, the breakfast room is very dark with many dirt and cobweb. There is no elevator, and many stairs to get to the room which is very hard to stay if you have a baby stroller. There is no remote control for the a/c you need to call reception for them to come with the remote and turn it on/off or change the temprature (this is 2018 , right? ) We changed the hotel to a different place since we couldn't stay there anymore. try to stay away.
