Wharf Inn
Great location but not much else :(
This hotel is all about location, location, location. It is conveniently located near Pier 43 and many other attractions and dining options, yet for the price we paid, the room itself leaves A LOT to be desired as it is very outdated and does NOT have air conditioning NOR a ceiling fan. The beds and lumpy pillows were comfortable enough for a quick one-night stay, yet it was hard to get over the musty smell as there was no ceiling fan to disperse the odor. We did our best to draw in cooler air by placing the box fan by the open window (about 2' x 2'), yet the annoyingly insignificant breeze produced by the fan did not do much to circulate air or provide a sense of comfortable sleeping temperature. I was so glad we stayed for a few short hours for a one night only stay, otherwise it would have been torture. This place is in DESPERATE need of a makeover. The parking lot is small with tight spaces, so be prepared to maneuver your way if you have a larger vehicle. Kuddos to the front desk staff, as everyone was nice and accomodating.

It was an old hotel built without air conditioning but was cool enough with the help of a small desk fan. Other than that it was walking distance to the wharf which is what we wanted.

room ready?
we arrived at the hotel around 1 pm after a 5 hour flight room not ready and told to come back 3 hours later still not ready and clerk got a bit testy when i confronted him on that.3 people on duty in front office and service was horrible. walls pretty thin could hear snoring next room and the bathroom fan in next room loud. when customers arrive rooms should be ready or put us in one that is? Price was not that great for Trivago either.

This is an older hotel nothing fancy, it’s location makes it a prime spot.

Great stay for the 4th of July
We really enjoyed our stay. We were right across the street from Fisherman’s wharf and just down from Pier 39. It was awesome to be able to walk to so many attractions. We watched the fireworks over the bay for the 4th of July from our balcony! The room was just what we expected. Glad I brought earplugs because the walls are thin and traffic was right next to our room. Other than that, it was a great stay!
