Had to make demands to reach our comfortable stay.
The check-in process was a bit fraught as the apartment had a management agency that handled the deposit outside the payment made to hotels.com and the agent was not available to show us in initially.
We spent 28 nights and it really felt like no one had spent more than a few days there before.
Basic information about the place was missing like a lift in the building that the description suggested wasn't there and a bath tub in the bathroom where it said there was only a shower.
The security team was good, friendly and helpful. The location not far from the beach though quite busy.
We had to ask for a microwave oven, a kitchen knife, cooking pots, a laundry basket and a clothes line as all those were missing from the apartment.
There is a weekly change of linen and cleaning that you have to pay the agency for.
I think hotels.com should clearly state if any middlemen are involved in accessing a booking.
The professionalism of the management agency leaves much to be desired.
Whilst we enjoyed our stay here, we could not be persuaded to spend our last 17 nights in Cape Town here, we moved to another apartment to complete our holiday.
The apartment could do with a fan in the bedroom for hot summer nights and probably additional security as we could see with most apartment doors on the apartment block.
