Know before you go and enjoy!!!
The staff was very pleasant and helpful! The property is well maintained which goes along with it really wanting to get its guests to sign-up for TIMESHARES! Make no mistake that is a big goal of this location. We were able to politely decline the offers of $300-$400 “credit” if we attended the 90 minute tour. One guy even said we could get our whole stay comped if we did the tour. Luckily they did not pressure us after the initial attempt during check-in. The restaurants were good enough (although beware that the pizza for in-room delivery is quite comically terrible). We had booked 5 nights so we had the all inclusive plan and that met our needs very well. We aren’t big drinkers so the booze selection was fine for us. The pools are great!! The beach is completely unswimmable so keep that in mind if you want a “beach vacation”. The poolside service was very slow - but very friendly :-) For our needs - sunshine, easy, relaxing - this was a great location. We did visit the Rosé sister resort and found it to be not as fitting for our needs. The Jr. Suite we had was fine. Would have preferred a queen or king-sized bed option. The view was fabulous though and the back patio had plenty of space to enjoy eating dinner on. The kitchenette was great for the fridge some useful dishes. We mostly ate at the market though and loved the Açaí bowl and toast with almond butter and bananas for breakfast :) We did not bring the kids so I can’t speak to that experience.

Spring break getaway for 2
My wife and I went to this resort for a spring break getaway. It was a nice property overall but way larger than we expected. It is a HUGE resort. It sets on a hillside and it is a challenge to get around the grounds in motorized carts. They run on diesel so they are noisy and you smell the exhaust. I am surprised they haven't gone to electric carts. It would be a much better way to go. You are shuttled from place to place and it's not a convenient way to get ariund. The beach is nice but you can't get near the water. There are numerous small pools, with one large pool at the bottom of the resort. We had recently stayed at an adult-only resort and it was much more chill. There are definitely lots of families with kids at this resort so it's a little chaotic. If that's the atmosphere you're looking for then this is a good place. The food at the buffet was very average for dinner but excellent for breakfast. The Market Place food options were pretty good. Depending on the time of day you went, it was very busy and it took a while to get food at the Market Place. One negative thing is you have limited options at the nicer restaurants. If you go all inclusive there is an extra charge at the three fine dining restaurants. the service at all of the restaurants was fantastic and the people that work there are very nice. Overall I'm not sure if we will stay there again as a couple. I think it is a nice option for large families because there is a lot going on.

Nice sunset views and whale watching
We enjoyed 3 nights at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Resort in March 2019. The resort is designed in a breathtakingly beautiful way (gorgeous flowers, beautiful buildings, great views of the Pacific Ocean, fabulous/sprawling sandy beach). However, a major drawback is the fact that the resort is situated on a mountainside so the buildings are staggered on many different levels, making it difficult to get from one place to another on foot. It is like a little maze. Hence, we took golf carts everywhere. The good thing is that the golf carts are easy to catch and are plentiful (over 30 carts). We enjoyed watching the huge waves in the ocean and looking for whales while we dined at the restaurants. The sunsets here are gorgeous and many people from other resorts pay for boat excursions to take them to the ocean right in front of our resort to see the sunset! Rooms could be updated. The food was good/decent. They have several different pools to choose from (all with different levels of crowds, ambience, music, etc). We enjoyed checking out all the pools. Like the free shuttle to the sister resort (Rose) even though we booked a shuttle via the app and when we showed up, they said we didn't have a reservation. We ended up taking a cab to town and then a Shuttle back. Like being able to eat at the Rose or Blanco resort. We had a suite on the beach and could step out the door and walk directly on the beach and to the Main Pool and LaNao restaurants. We highly recommend it

I thought the food was good for an all-inclusive. Beautiful pools and very friendly staff. Biggest negative was being hit up to go to their sales presentation several times
