Had a great experience, especially since they give a welcome gift to kids. Our 2-year-old got a cute turtle that he’s been attached to ever since. Nat, the hotel manager was great & answered any questions we had with a smile. Jen at the front desk was very nice as well. This property has had a major upgrade since we were last here in 2016 prior to Gurney’s acquisition. We had the same bungalow style room (if not the same room) as last time (waterfront!) but w/ a renovated bathroom & touched up room overall. They upgraded the Keurig to a Nespresso like at the main Gurney’s location. The only downside is that we went really off season & their main restaurant & gift shop were closed, although Nat said they can have anything brought over from the main Gurney’s. Il Forno was open & has really great pizza from a wood burning oven! Room service was quick & delivered ~5-10 min sooner than quoted. They also have a shuttle bus that takes you to the other location & into town. This is a great place if you have young kids since it’s close to the lighthouse/Montauk Pt State Park, horse stables, & the water. Will definitely be back!

Two hotels in one…
The hotel is great and all but we were placed in the villa which was spacious but very very outdated and incredibly sparse… and is basically an annex from the main hotel grounds. Didn’t realize we’d be placed there. Breakfast was delightful and views of harbor from main grounds were fantastic. Just be careful where your room is … maybe just skip it if you’ll be placed in the annex.
