Barceló Maya Beach - All Inclusive

This property is clean and the staff are so friendly. We had a great vacation. The only challenge was it was a slow week with many not travelling because of Covid-19. There were some buffets and a pool closed. No fault of the resort who were trying to make the best of a slower than usual March break week.

The grounds are beautiful, the rooms need updating our air conditioning did not work and no one could fix it.

It is in a great location. The beaches are clean and beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful. The only problem was with the food. Often it was cold and sometimes there would not be enough.

The property was beautiful & kept up so nice! Fridges were not cold at all. Tokyo restaurant was great! The staff in buffets & restaurants went above & beyond! The grounds keepers & garbage pick up guys were amazing. Did not care for the dolphins in captivity there - walked by several times where they were just stagnant at the edge of the pool :( so sad. Would be nice to have more bar tenders & wait service on beach. Overall great family trip

I had a great experience overall. Snorkeling right at the resort/ swam with sting ray fish and sea turtles that came right up to me. The food at the buffet was typically on the cold side, but fruit was amazing. The ala carte dinners were good. We decided on premium at the beach / so we had a great view of beach/pool. Staff were all very friendly. They do need to stay on top in the soap in the public bathrooms - it was out at a lot of sinks so I hope people washed there hands. I also had hand sanitizer on hand. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend

Miguel and Louis in ranch grill by beach are awesome Lost count of how many visits to Barceló over the years. We like it!

Property was clean, staff was great, the food, the beach were all fantastic. I would definitely go back again!

We love this hotel. It's beautiful and has a very long stretch of sandy beach. One thing we didn't like was the food. We tried two restaurants and the food wasn't very good. The sushi, in particular, was awful. The food at the buffet was plentiful and varied, but rarely hot and it was obvious that many of the food from the previous day was recycled.

The resort was very clean. The beach was well groomed. A few of the bartenders really stood out. They were extremely friendly and great to talk to! Although, I do not remember specific names. Others just didn't talk much, not rude, that was OK too.

Hotel is sorely lacking in customer service, had to wait a really long time to check in, then they would not allow us to go into our rooms until 3 PM. We called several times to get the AC adjusted and they wouldn’t help. There was an alarm that kept going off inside of our room, and they never even came to fix it. The food was terrible, you needed reservations for dinner every evening, Which was really difficult to make as they wouldn’t answer the calls. During the day, the only option for food is buffet, which was really lacking in flavor.
