Unfortunately a noisy stay.
Room itself was good. Desk staff appeared to be texting on their mobile phone when we arrived, which was ok, but we weren’t greeted straight away. I was asked if I needed parking, I said no, I didn’t have a car.
We stayed on a Weekend night, but other guests were noisy arriving back at the hotel and also in their room. The hotel car park behind the hotel (or somewhere VERY close) had cars coming and going (which is fine), but they were playing loud music and I could hear every word being said. Not necessarily the hotel’s fault but maybe some double glazing wouldn’t go astray.
When we checked out, the desk staff took our key but didn’t ask how our stay was. If they had have, I would have told them about the noise, but I figured they probably wouldn’t pass on my concern anyway.
Returned home and realised that I had been charged for parking which I hadn’t used (I didn’t have a car and I had been asked when we checked in if I needed parking and I’d said no). Rang to query this, was told it would be refunded… so I await to see if it will be.
Not a horrible hotel, but definitely could have some improvements. I’d think twice about staying here again.
