Don't let them put you in the dungeon!!

I am going to save future travelers a lot of disappointment with this review. Put simply, DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN THE BASEMENT!!!! If they want to put you in the lower floor and won't move you, simply leave the hotel. You would be better off sleeping in your car. We had two rooms and were both put in the basement. My brother-in-law's room had broken AC and he was able to escape to a better room. Lucky him. Besides the basement being sorta dreary, we were woken up both days by extremely loud footsteps. It sounded like someone wearing wooden shoes from Holland stomping around. But, you know some guests are just rude and what can you do...except IT WASN'T A GUEST, IT WAS STAFF. So on the second day, when were were awoken before 8am by assumed dance troop above us, I took it upon myself to go up there and ask them to please at least take off their wooden shoes. Much to my surprise, it was hair salon in the SPA above my room, and it seemed like the Manager was a>wearing heavy clogs and b>doing inventory or something that required her to walk back and forth repeatedly. Any, long story short, she rudely asked "what are you doing here" because I guess it was before opening and I said "trying to find out what is making so much noise". Her answer was "we are trying to run a business here." So, I guess her "business" is more important to this hotel than the guests. Anyway, we did complain and leave messages for the GM, but got no response. Disappointing...

    Highly recommend

The King Suite was amazing, hotel room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant food was incredible and made great recommendations on entrees and wine pairing. The pool area was beautiful. The spa was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, updated and modern, a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Overall very satisfied with this hotel. I will be coming back.

    A wonderful midweek couples escape!

My wife and I escaped to Lancaster for a two-night midweek getaway. We had a wonderful and relaxing visit to the Inn at Leola! There was a very minor issue with initially being escorted to a different room than what the booking site showed, but that minor issue became a non-issue with assistance from Gary. He has a delightful presence and was very helpful in giving us a tour of the grounds and showing us to our room(s).

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Leola Village for our 25th anniversary and returned for our 30th. We arrived 30 minutes after allowed check-in. Our room was not ready and they did not know when it would be ready “1 maybe 2 or possibly more hours. “. They gave us a basement room ( it actually turned out to be the same room we had 5 years ago). The housekeeping staff did an excellent job and were courteous on the one occasion we saw them which is when we were departing. Several overwhelmingly negative events occurred: 1. The room unavailability 2. An unexpected torrential downpour in which rain came through the two windows. 3. We called the office and the younger concierge, if that’s what he was, brought us towels to put on the window sills. 4. WE had to clean the wetness. 5. Apparently, it has happened many times before because when you felt around the walls under the window, it was evident. My husband is an architect and could tell. It was confirmed by the staff member. 6. Isn’t mold a possibility which was never checked into? 7. The pathway to the dining area was flooded. 8. We ate elsewhere and upon our return, our key did not work. Of course, we could not reach the office on our cell phones because that is just fir reservations and therefore, no one answered multiple calls. 9. My husband walked to the office and they reprogrammed the key. 10. Another person whose room happened to be next to ours had the same problem. 11. When we were asked at
