Home away from home
Booked this room as part of a spur of the moment in state getaway for my daughter’s 16th birthday. Traveled hundreds of miles that day and arrived at the hotel after the office had closed but there was a nice note with my name on it taped to the office letting me know what room I had and how they left it unlocked for me. Nice touch. The room was large and spacious and cozy and the staff was very warm and friendly, even cooking us breakfast 15 minutes after they had stopped serving. We will be back.

This hotel is very run-down. I have no idea why anyone gave it good ratings! Our room was dirty, smelly, wallpaper peeling off wall, very outdated. We paid $200, which was not refundable, and we still chose to leave and find a room elsewhere. Very disappointed!

The place is great. Love the tea time. We booked one night with hotels.com but ended up paying for an extra night because of the hiking sites and the biking path around. Found a way better price on another website.

great service, but very run down hotel
This is one of those situations where the photos on the website don't match reality; the carpet is threadbare, the wallpaper is peeling everywhere, and there are huge chunks missing in the tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. But on the bright side the staff is very friendly, and you get the best breakfast I've had in ages (hot and cooked to order). Also, the price is pretty reasonable when compared to other hotels in the are.
