While The Halich Hotel is generally good, I was surprised it has a 4 stars rating. The room I got was in a 3 stars standard - quite small and basic. I was counting on a larger and more spacious room, but got one of those "bed and a bit of space around it" rooms, which I wouldn't expect a 4 starts hotel. Also, there is no pool. The location is good, close to the Galata tower and the touristic area around it. Also close to a tram station, which is 5 stops away from the central sight-seeing area. Staff was very nice and courteous, they really go out of their way to help you. The water pressure in the shower was quite low. The techinical people checked it and said it is standard for Turkey. Since I haven't been in Turkey before I can't compare and know if that's actually true (sounds a bit weird). All in all it's a good hotel, but also a basic one, too basic compared to what I expected.
