Great Stay!
This was my first time with Shibuya Excel Hotel and I’m happy! Right in the heart of Shibuya, everything is just a skip away, train stations so near (Ginza line is right below the hotel), the room is always clean when I come back at night, breakfast was great. You have a choice between Western restaurant A’bientot or Japanese restaurant. Front desk staff are friendly and service is fast. I was given a room on the 21st floor and the view was Shibuya Crossing. 👍 Also, it had a Nespresso coffeemaker. Next time, I’ll be coming back with my family. 😃

Fantastic location. Easy access to shopping areas, great restaurants and subways. Received room upgrade to corner room with fantastic city view. A must stay hotel.

Great in all aspects
We really had a wonderful stay. the check-in and checkout services were fast, they were very kind, everything was very nice. However, we have one note: when we called a taxi to pick us up to a nearby location they didn’t tell us that calling a taxi is an extra very high charge (almost half the charges of the cab), but other then than. It’s was great! We highly recommend

Inconsiderate hotel for Families with Young Kids
Caution to families with young kids. Me, my wife and kids aged 11, 9 and 6 were booked in a triple bed room. However, upon checking in, the reception would not allow us to stay in one room. She said kids over 7 years old is considered an adult so our room was for 3 persons only plus our youngest child so that left our other elder child without a room. We were forced to book another room which finally was a room across our original room because they were initially giving the extra room in another floor. We did not sleep in the extra room the whole time we were there because we fit well enough in our triple bed room and our kids didn't want to sleep in separate rooms so we were forced to spend usd1600.00 unnecessarily. I felt the hotel could have been more considerate. As for the hotel, it is an old mid class hotel but the location is very good if you are staying in Shibuya.
