Lovely hotel. Perfect location. Would have liked more fruit at breakfast and salad choices on menu. Mattresses and pillows aren't good quality. Excellent staff.

Disappointed stay for 4* hotel
Room was definately not 4*. Only one chair by writing desk. Only one bedside lamp for a double room. Only 1 day out of 4 had hot water for showering. Nice location. Staff very friendly. Food was good.

Poor standards - poor staffing
Lovely setting, pretty hotel. Rooms not cleaned properly, bottle tops and other bits of rubbish in the room. No dressing gowns. No staff at the bar or reception (at all times of the day) Staff ‘forgot’ when asked 4 times to deal with an issue. Considering I paid for one of the most expensive rooms, it was treated as though it was the most basic Tried to contact the hotel, no one on the phone was actually bothered, email non existent.

Stunning hotel
What a stunning hotel. Spent a single night here and had an evening meal, the food in the restaurant was fantastic, we had a window seat with views over the countryside looking towards Cardiff. Room 1 is a suit, a great size with probably the biggest bed outside of America. We will be back.

Sequoias"restaurant a big disappointment
Very nice room but furniture needed re-upholstering Inadequate lighting over tea making area and dressing table.Nice bathroom but unable to adjust shower which was too hot,Missing bath robes. Sequoias" restaurant "really just the hotel dining room. Food was way below standard,Drinks overpriced. Complained to manager on leaving. Would not recommend eating in the "restaurant" Will not be returning

The Hotel is a bit tired and there was some renovation work taking place that we were not made aware of. Our suite was in a wing and looking out on a shed and obviously the smoking area. Overall a better than average stay, excellent evening meal
