Hotel Präsident
Feel like a president!
A very and I mean VERY good hotel, central, clean ( a plus for the cleaning team!), with excellent wifi connection, a lot of tv channels in many languages, the amazing tasty breakfast, the nice reception staff, the comfy bed, wise space for luggage , a small refrigerator. What else do you want???? Yes, the room rate was also very good.

sleepless nights when I was there
The room was small. Breakfast buffet was excellent, many choices for whatever is your desire. Every night when I was there, there was people coming out of nightclubs and pubs, shouting, fighting and roaring at the top of their voice in 2.00am trying to wake people up, while people like me trying to sleep. Traffic was very bad, all the time people beeping horns at one another between 7.00pm-11.00pm every night for the length of time I stayed there. And one more thing, the bed was very soft. I ended up with a sore back for a couple of days.

Very nice comfortable hotel.
Very nice traditional European hotel. The rooms were on the smallish side, but certainly big enough for our family. I've stayed in much smaller rooms in London or NYC. They've been updated with modern fittings and our room on the backside was very quiet and very dark, great for sleeping. Lots of Restaurants and Grocery Stores in the neighborhood, and an easy walk to the train station or U-Bahn. The included breakfast was very good as well. Much better than many of the stateside free breakfasts that are all carbs. This had plenty of proteins and fruits and vegetables.

Very Good8.0
Centrally Located Budget Hotel
Hotel Präsident is two blocks from the main Munich train station and is in a rather busy part of town. While there are numerous strip clubs nearby, I wouldn't say the neighborhood was seedy. I never felt unsafe or in any danger as Marienplatz, the central square of Munich, is less than a mile away. There's always lots of people and cars on the street outside the hotel. The room was decent sized and always felt a little dirty, mainly because housekeeping would leave the windows open, letting in bugs. The bed was also a bit lumpy and sagged in the middle, making getting in and out of bed a bit more of a chore than necessary. Checking out was also an unnecessarily slow process taking over half an hour for the front desk person to check me out and call me a cab. While it was an early morning checkout, taking half an hour is far too long to do both.
