Very friendly staff, good service, everyone always tried to help. The only issues were the distance from the beach, quality of entertainment, small facilities, and low variety of food.
The hotel was good, food and services are great. The bus sometimes was late and sometimes left earlier from the beach club. Everybody smokes at the beach! I beleive the administration should organize special area for smokers as kids and non-smokers are suffering from the tobacco smell. People just dont understand that they shouldn't smoke in public places. The same problem at the hotel, smoking areas have to be secluded.
We got relocated to this hotel because our hotel canceled our reservation the day before our trip. The hotel is ok but not awesome.
Its a bang for your money.!! RIU Lupita staff treat you like you are family, this is a family geared hotel with many different things to do everyday, as well it’s a very quiet hotel with tranquil areas to pamper you if you need quiet. Our daily trips to the nearby beach is not complicated..Everything is well planned to make your stay one of the best to have.!!. Well done RIU...
I did not like the rooms, they were dated and need an upgrade.
The hotel is very small compared to other resorts, the pools are small and are always packed. The hotel is NOT located on the beach, so you have to take a bus (hotel-provided) that leaves about every 30mins (punctuality is NOT their forte) The food is ok quality-wise but although they have 4 different restaurants (a buffet, a beach-snack bar, an Italian restaurant and a Mexican one) they all basically have the same thing, so after 2-3 days you are pretty much tired of the menus. The staff is the biggest downfall of the resort, they are not friendly and do not do anything to help your stay be more pleasure. They limit themselves to doing just what needs to be done, and are not willing to accommodate any special requests. Every time you ask for anything, the answer is always a no, that’s not possible, that’s just the way it is etc. To be honest it was a shock for me, especially because I have been living in Mexico for the past 20 years and I have always said that Mexican service is the best worldwide, usually people are super fireindlu amd are always looking to help you any way they can. Not in this case. I also witnessed something quite disturbing: there were drugs (marihuana and cocaine) being openly sold at THE PRIVATE BEACH of the hotel, the staff knows about it and covers it up and let’s the drug dealers know if police is in the area searching. There were kids everywhere and the drug dealers didn’t even try to make an effort about hiding the fact that they were dealing
Everything about the property was amazing. There was not one thing that I disliked about it.
very nice resort, it is one of the smaller resorts we have been to but the small environment was very nice and quiet. Very relaxing location.
Lower class resort but friendly staff. Limited food selection. Far from beach
The facilities are good, food and drinks are nice. Staff is helpful. And coatis can be found everywhere, nice jungle environment. Worth’s the stay.
