I live in Mexico but am a U.S. citizen and an international traveller. I stayed a few separate times for one night at a time when I was in Los Angeles this year. I checked in for one night my last visit to L.A. before leaving back to Mexico. The manager made sure to tell me I was not allowed back because they "only accept international travellers". He made sure to let me know I was not welcome because "this place is for international travellers". What he meant to say was that U.S. citizens are not welcome there. Except looking at the reviews it seems like he means women from the United States because the men seemed able to stay. I made sure not to go downstairs and just left promptly the next morning. Also at 9pm seems like the manager sent one of the volunteers up to the room to check on I and my roommate as she wanted to "empty the trash". These people running it seem mentally off and discriminitory. Very unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere especially for women. If they dont like your nationality as a woman they will certainly make sure you leave and make you uncomfortable. Lets not forget the mice and rats running around the place. Yuck.
