Dated hotel with average service
The hotel is a bit dated, though the facilities were fine. Great shower and good towels. As fairly typical the comforter was only between two sheets so was falling out of place. More annoyingly was the service, when we asked for recommendations for dinner on a Sunday it was as if we were asking for a vegan menu in a steak restaurant. In actual fact the city was lovely if we went to the right place. And said that the only place was really far away... a 20mins slow walk away. Also we asked for a late check out and instead of accommodating or noting the request down we were asked to follow up ourselves. When we did it was a huge deal and we were asked to pay $40 for 2 additional hours. Choose one - make us pay or explain it’s inconvenient - not both.

Breakfast buffet was cramped in main section. Poor design.Food was adequate, pastries dry. Hand towel is under vanity, hard to reach conveniently. The room had a kettle but limited 'safe' place to set it up. No coasters in room for drinks or dirty spoon. Room was hot and clamy upon entry, however air con worked well and was nice overall. Staff were friendly. Gym had broken treadmill buttons and poor set up. How does a guest reach the paper towel under the TV? Doesn't make sense to have that there. Didn't receive the digital receipt - had to request it. Multiple sized pillows was good as everyone likes a different pillow size. This makes a big difference. I didn't mind Peppers overall, however the above points could improve the experience significantly with some small changes. Cheers
