Always book here for Coventry
Excellent service, at reception, bar and restaurant. Rooms are spacious with extra touches, such as a fridge, safe, coffee machine, with pods, an iron and board. The shower is large with a waterfall as well as normal shower head. Breakfast is plentiful, varied and well cooked. And in a great central location for bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend

Enjoyed my stay, would come again
An excellent stay. The room was large and clean, and the bed very comfortable. There was only a shower, but this had a rainfall unit as well as a removable shower head, so that should please most people. There was a little bit of noise from outside the hotel, but it is close to the theatre and night life, so to be expected. One complaint I had was that the curtains did not fit 100% and the morning light coming through from the top and bottom of the very large window space woke me up. Breakfast was excellent quality, with a good choice, but the hot food buffet quickly got cold. Perhaps better lights or a plate warmer would help this. Bar prices were a nice surprise as I expected to pay more than £5.50 for my decent IPA looking at the rest of the hotel. The TV had a limited range of channels, and the full set of Freeview was not available, but that was only a minor issue.

Great barman!
Nice spacious room and very comfy bed. It would have been useful to have a couple of wall mounted coat hooks by the door for outside coats, especially if wet as you wouldn’t want to put them in the wardrobe alongside a dry dress and suit etc. The barman later in the evening was great (I think his name was Eric) and he was very patient when he had to manage a large group of people ordering drinks while also checking those who wanted to come in the front door as it was locked. Overall a really nice stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Coventry.

Fabulous hotel full of history
Wow! This amazing hotel still retains so many features of the old Telegraph building and has QR codes you can scan to find out more about its history. Our room was a great size and had a door leading to the “garden” which was a fab touch. Because we were celebration a birthday we arrived to a little surprise of chocolates which was a lovely touch. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic historic building
