Absolutely tiny bathroom, towel bar fell down, cleaners left a magic eraser in a yogurt tub in the bathroom. It was an okay hotel room but nothing special.

  • 8.0.Very Good

Very cool historic hotel in good location

The old architecture and interior design of the hotel and music in the lobby brought me back to the Roaring 20s. The hotel lobby has a Starbucks and fine dining, and was like a museum with old memorabilia on display. Nice pool area and gym. Friendly front-desk and valet service. Convenient location with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Free shuttle around town and to the Aquarium, and a groovy 50s diner is available across the street with an awesome bakery. Room 653 was clean but had a disappointing view of the roof. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was small and had shoddy grout work under sink and behind toilet, but you can get a bigger bathroom and a nicer view for only a $30 upgrade.

Musty, old rooms in need of renovation

This hotel is grand and historic and walking through the lobby is awesome. The staff are excellent as well. But, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Our toilet seat was broken; our shower rod was broken; and the room just smelled musty and old.

    Jazz Feel

The trip was amazing. We were just in for the night to see a concert but everything was wonderful. Love the old jazz era feel of the lobby. We stayed on the manor side and it was nice. Only complaint was the bathrooms were alittle small. Overall we will return and stay again and again. Next time we will choose the historical side.

    Several things

Need more live human security. Got followed by a homeless person down the side hallway. Never got to use the free glasses of champagne voucher after paying $30 upgrade fee because the bar was too full of people not staying there.

    5-Star Service

The hotel is beautiful and the service was 5-star. I pulled up for valet parking and as someone was getting my ticket someone else was getting my luggage from my trunk and then guided me to the check-in counter. Check-in went smooth and as I took in the decor on my way to the elevator I felt like I was on the Titanic. The elevator requires a hotel key after selecting a floor which made me feel more secure. The room was clean. The only complaint I have is there wasn't an oulet on the desk or nightstand to charge my phone. All outlets were near the floor except for the one in the bathroom. Not very convenient. They have 1-2 people at the frint door to open the door and help answer any questions you may have. It was great to not have to stand in a line at the check-in counter to ask a question or have bags held for a bit afer check-out. The also have the option to check-out and retrieve car from valet via text which expedited things. The price of the stay was beyond what i normally spend, but it seems the put that money into their customer service and making the stay enjoyable.
