Classic in Tampere
Classic grand architecture. Modern conveniences. In center of city but wuiet corner. Service friendly and nice breakfast. Only downside is 1 small lift and I was on 6 floor.

Comfortable sleep over with kids.
Spent one night in a family room. The room was ok for 2 adults + 2 small kids to sleep, but woul have been tight to do anything else. The room and common spaces were clean, service' was good. The hotel does not have parking, but teams with a garage some 250m away.

Old style but not practical
Old style tap and shower and toilet were nice looking but not practical. Toilet was super loud! My reservation also showed twin bed but had a very small single bed. All traffic noise came in although it was 5th floor. Breakfast was very good!

Charming but missing the modern comfort.
Some of the things about an old house that make you miss a modern hotel are the fact that my room didn't have AC and the plumbing was making very irritating buzzing noise in the bathroom. Then again the staff is so friendly and the house is very beautiful! Breakfast is great but they should refill the items more often. And offer customers coffee when they enter, I had to ask for it each morning.

It was in a very convenient location, lovely hotel but rather old fashioned. I would certainly consider staying there if I were to visit Tampere again.

The atmosphere of the old hotel was present and well kept. Please, don't keep the old books under the service utencials, like the butter plates. The books should have their value as such.
