First disappointing Hotels.com booking
My search for a hotel was predominantly driven by the star rating, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel.
The facility descriptions are inaccurate and misleading.
'Poolside bar and two bars/lounges' - There was a poolside bar but that was it. There was one more bar but it was never open and the image of a bar on the site wasn't there at all. Also, for some reason the 'all-inclusive' stops at midnight at the poolside bar. That just seems a bit strange as the bar only stays open until 1am so why bother charging for that hour.
'Two outdoor pools' - there was only one and there were never anywhere near enough sun loungers for the size of the hotel or the number of guests. The indoor pool does exist but we never saw anyone use it. It needs updating as it's very tired.
I didn't see a tennis court and the images give the impression that the hotel is right on the beach, it's not. It's only about 100 yards away and there is a beach bar there but the photos are misleading.
The bedroom and bathroom were very nice and generally the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The food in the restaurant needs to be covered as there were a lot of flies, so it was best to choose something as they brought out a new tray, or choose something from the grill as they cooked it. The choice and quality was pretty good though.
All in all we did have a nice break but just think the details are not accurate. I wouldn't have chosen to stay there now I know how it really is.
