Disappointing - things have gone downhill
We started coming here back in the Revel days, and boy are those days long gone. The restaurants are mostly generic, overpriced mediocrity (there's still Amada and Distrito, but they're both just "meh" these days). The design elements that made Revel cool have been downplayed, removed or just not maintained. The casino, which used to be smoke-free but no longer is, stinks up all of the restaurants on that floor. While there, we were notified there'd be maintenance once night, which meant no electricity, heat or hot water from 3-7am, but more annoyingly, the fire alarm was going off in the hallway for several hours during that window. Not only was there no discount offered for that inconvenience, but Ocean adds a $25 "resort fee" per night, which gets you absolutely nothing (other than a fire alarm going off outside your room for several hours).

Not the best experience, this time around!
Was told that i could not be accommodated for the king room that I paid for in advance because they were overbooked and due to me booking through a third party( Hotels.com) there was nothing they could do. Highly disappointed. Left to return home and get refund. Upon speaking with customer service at Hotels.com, I was told to return to the property and a King room would be available, which is was. We’ve stayed at the property more than 15 times and this was the worst experience. Not sure if I’ll be returning.

We have stayed at the ocean the last 3 times we have come with another couple. I really do like the hotel except I came there mostly for the football games although we all did gamble quite a bit. The issue I had was they move gambling tables inside the Sportsbook area and there was no seats available. When I sat at an empty let it ride table I was told I can’t sit there but I can stand. I felt that was uncalled for and the woman that told me that was very rude. So I then went up to my room to watch the game. I could have done that at home on Long Island. We were there from Friday to Monday gambled a lot and ate at the restaurants in your hotel. When asking for towels I was told you were short I then waited for 2 hours. As a hospitality employee manager at the hospital I work at I always tell my employees that being short staffed can never be used as an excuse. Like I say to them staffing is not there problem it’s ours. And that how you guys should have dealt with it. Other then that I did enjoy your hotel but think next time we may look for a change to where we feel more appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day. Jerome stabile
