Shocking hotel
The hotel is dated and in need of upgrade. A very dirty hotel, with the corridors and stairs full of dirt and rubbish. The bathroom was disgusting and the carpet next to the bathroom was loose which left the carpet grip being a risk due to the spikes.

Comfortable stay
Enjoyed stay as usual . Had to ask re heating in the room as radiator appeared off. This was dealt with. Shower proved extremely difficult and once on couldn’t get off. To be fair staff member attended to this and informed a plumber / maintenance would need to be called. Fortunately we were just checking out and had both had showers. Water also tends to fluctuate in pressure. Be ware

Recent 2 night family visit
The hotel used to be jury’s pond hotel , has had very little upgrade , it very tired and old hotel , barely 3 star . Beds are super uncomfortable, they do supply clean sheets and towels . My toilet sink was blocked , door entry cards don’t work , eventually had batteries changed , worked better , but very hit and miss . Staff do their level best to be friendly, can’t fault that .

no just no!, bar and communal areas ok, restaurant quite expensive. Room tired and felt un clean, bits on carpet, damaged curtain rail, dirty fan, just poor. Breakfast was terrible re-heated and fruit was not fresh, complete lack of choice only americano served from coffee machine, I stay in Glasgow regularly but wont be back here. Overall just old, tired and un-loved

I have been staying there for almost 10 years - previously known as pond hotel but since the change in management it has gone down hill This stay was worst and unfortunately will no longer stay there and would not recommend to anybody

Disappointing
Sadly saw quite a difference to our previous stays. No room service on our 2nd day as we " were staying for 3 days". Thankfully the reception desk lady came to the rescue and came to our room with replacement towles , toilet roll and tea bags (we'd only been left two on checkin) Atmosphere not as welcoming as previous stays, so hopefully this is just a 'wee blip' and things will get back to their high standard again.
