Such a lovely hotel that wrapped its arms around with warmth and hospitality. Gracious rooms with special touches such as port in the room, architectural details and an honor bar in the wood paneled library overlooking the water. Lovely !!!

AAA ! This hotel is beyond all of our expectations! Beautiful rooms with more then friendly and professional 24/7 staff made our trip unforgettable! River view terrace on a 4th floor is must to be after a long day of walking in Lisbon.Self Service bar is convenient and has a huge selection of alcohol and non alcohol drinks.Complimentary cofee, tea ,refresheners and some sweats are all day long available ,too.Great stay!

Delightful surprise. Considering the cost (pricey for Portugal overall and even for Lisbon in particular), I admit serious trepidation as I drove through the neighborhood approaching the hotel, and it certainly was not immediately impressive from the outside, but entering it was like stepping into another world, a more gracious time. The staff is helpful without being intrusive, the rooms are small but immaculate and well-appointed and the views are fantastic. Breakfast is served in the garden daily (you need to check your reservation carefully to see whether it’s “available” or “included” as it varies), and tables with complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate, pastries and other nibbles are available on each floor 24/7. A couple of warnings: parking is “available” for an additional charge, but no valet, and it’s really more storage than parking in the sense that you park the car and then leave it until check out—it’s more practical to Uber or cab it during your stay. Also, like most European hotels, it’s not wheelchair accessible or really handicap friendly—stairs and steps everywhere, though if you get around reasonably well, the staff will help with bags, whether shopping or luggage. The decor is somehow both classic Lisbon and whimsical, and there is plenty of comfortable seating throughout all the public areas where guests are welcome to linger, read, enjoy their coffee . . . just a lovely haven in a busy city.

Lovely Inn - very nice garden
We truly enjoyed our short stay at As Janelas Verdes Inn. We had an early flight, and the staff was kind enough to get some fruit, yogurt and cereal ready for us in advance of the normal breakfast time. The garden is lovely. We would stay there again.
