The hotel was beautiful and obviously newly remodeled. The staff was very friendly and service was good at the bar/patio. The location was also central and fairly convenient. (although not super close to a metro stop). My only complaint is the the pillows were not comfortable at all. Otherwise a great stay!

ew favorite hotel.
This is my new favorite hotel in DC. After a very minor computer snafu they upgraded me to a suite, and now I will always choose the suite which is not much more expensive but worth it. The rooms are very zen, simple but elegant and it doesn’t feel like ikea, mire like Europe with small understated luxuries. The windows open, there is just white and linen and it feels clean and calm even in the hellish DC. The front desk staff is really great, and one special employee (Melissa) seemed to be checking people in, parking cars and tending to a variety of guest demands on her own for several hours with grace and aplomb. She has a great attitude even when you ask her to retrieve your valet parked car for the 4th time in one evening. She calmly and efficiently did 3 people’s jobs WITH A SMILE. I was impressed by how genuinely helpful the staff is, even in very expensive hotels this is not guaranteed. It’s a pretty hotel with charm and style in a great location, I can’t imagine I will stay anywhere else in DC, I’m a fan.

Wonderful stay. Special thanks to the friendly and helpful front desk staff, Melissa and Kay. From check in to check out, everything was perfect. Also, the bar manager Coco was terrific, and the food we enjoyed was delicious. Our room was spacious and spotless. Our only suggestion is better lighting in the bathroom: way too dark and unflattering. In all we felt very safe, comfortable and well cared for. Bravo! and Many thanks! ER

Beautiful room, taking lots of Covid precautions. Heads up to other parents- If you need a crib you have to request it in advance. However, The bar downstairs does a great old fashioned.
