    Fabulous 8.8 From 2,197 reviews

    Very Good 8.0
    Hotel is just ok
Its a decent hotel, maybe needs a bit of upgrades. During my tip was very hot in the city and the swimming pool was closed, because last day of summer was day or two before I checked in front desk said. We weren't to happy about it.

    Never again!
Went here for Labor Day 2019 and booked here because the reviews said the place was fabulous or something... well maybe the lobby was fabulous but the rooms are totally disgusting! Our linen was very dirty (blood specs), bathroom was super tiny, you couldn’t even make a circle with your body in that bathroom! The room and the rest of the hotel seemed like they were stuck in the 1960s for Lord I do not know why! Also the parking situation totally sucked and every time you would leave you would have to stop by the front desk to get a green ticket to use with your other ticket just to get out of the underground structure... they said it’s broken and eventually room keys will work once they got it fixed! Smh this place was awful which we cancelled the second night there and stayed elsewhere! The only thing this place got a thumbs up at was the awesome view of the city and pool area and once we requested clean sheets the bed surprisingly slept very comfortable... but that’s as far as it goes!

    Exceptional 10.0
Great value in heart of DC
I was pleasantly surprised. This was an excellent value. I paid a little over $100 a night via an online offer and booked a month ahead. I was very worried because the price was so low. But the hotel is great value. No it’s not the trendiest or most fashionable hotel in DC. The lobby and restaurant are a little dated, but it’s very clean and the rooms are beautifully renovated and comfortable. The huge pool area was really fun. After a long work day, I sat around the pool, had a cocktail and relaxed. I have stayed at hotels with room rates more than double the price I paid for the Wash Plaza and wasn’t nearly as happy. My room overlooked Thomas Circle and part of downtown. The only negative for some people, but not me, might be that it’s a long walk to the Metro stations. (DC’s subway.) I didn’t mind because I like the exercise, but it was about 5 blocks to the red line and about 7 blocks to yellow/green line. Still, overall this was a great find

    Poor 2.0
Bathrooms are old and disgusting! Way Overpriced
As you walk in the hotel and service itself are great. Valet guys kind of pushy and rude but front desk ladies were very kind. Check in process was quick and easy. My complaint is that the bathroom and specially bathtub were a nasty mess! The bathtub was so gross and full of scum and dirt like grease stains. Looked like they had never been scrubbed. I had to shower in my sandals because I was too disgusted to even touch my skin on the shower wall or tub. I don’t think I’ll ever stay here again.
