We stayed at Napoleon hotel for three nights in November 2015. It is a comfortable hotel, close to the historic heart of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They would guide you to the places you want to visit. The hotel serves varied breakfast and also the restaurant is good enough. We were invited to a cocktail party that was complimentary and we had the chance to meet the owner at this event. Mr. Cioce went around and had a word with all his guests. That made us feel cared for and really welcomed. My husband celebrated his birthday while staying in Rome and he got a bottle of wine with compliments from the hotel management.

Very friendly staff
Very friendly and helpful staff...The two elderly gentlemen at the reception were so much helpful. Explained everything about the city in detailed. Location is good especially if you want to use underground. Euro 10 taxi ride to main train station so not far away either.

A pleasant and "good-enough" hotel
This is an old-fashioned hotel with friendly and courteous staff, and even a porter to bring in your luggage and take it to your room. There is plenty of public space with comfortable chairs and the manager has a wine-and-canape reception on Friday evenings. So these are all positives. But the single room was very small and the bathroom cramped. The neighbourhood is nothing special. Breakfast was in a dreary room. If I had been paying the normal rate I would have thought that, overall, the hotel was not very good value.

Great place to stay while you explore Rome.
I was on my way home from and extended stay in Europe and stopped in Rome for 2.5 days. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and most spoke English. You could tell they were sincere about making your stay a good one. It's nice that they have a separate desk for the concierge so they were usually free to help you at all times, and they go out of their way for you. I had a very early tour one morning and I called down the night before to ask a question about the metro. When they learned I would leave before breakfast was served, they volunteered to arrange an early breakfast in the restaurant and it was waiting for me when I came down in the morning. The room was clean and quiet and the WiFi was good. I slept well and that's what all you really need when you're trying to enjoy Rome. The shower was a bit small, or I would have given room comfort a 5. You're within walking distance to the colloseum and a metro station is close. Btw, I was in the city less than 10 min before 2 young girls tried to pickpocket me while I was trying to figure out how to buy a metro ticket from a machine. One distracts you and the other takes what they can. Luckily, I didn't have anything in my back pocket. Beware. Rome is an amazing city worth seeing and I'd definitely recommend the Napoleon Hotel. Thanks to all the staff there for making my short time in Rome more enjoyable.
