Worth the Price!!
While this is definitely not a bargain hotel by any stretch, it is a great value! Attention to detail is obvious in every aspect of the Hotel's operations. The room was impeccable, the staff super friendly and knowledgeable, and the dining/bar/common areas were all a treat.

The hotel was beautiful and the service outstanding. The only negative was that when we got to the room we found out that the toilet would not flush. They sent up a staff member right away to fix it but it did take quite a while and we really just wanted to rest. That night, I took a bath and then water would not go out of the tub without me holding the drain stopper up. We did not want to call as we just wanted to rest. Everything else was lovely!!

Wonderful Stay
We stayed at the Jefferson to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We had booked a deluxe room over the premium but I'm not sure what the difference was other than the room was more expensive. I asked at the front desk and they told me it was about location in the hotel and sometimes having a bath. Our room was relatively small and the bathroom overall was small, but with a very large walk-in shower, no bath. The lobby is also quite small albeit beautifully decorated. The bars and restaurants are tucked away so you have to find them. But otherwise, we loved our stay at the hotel. Our room was exquisite - clean, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. The hotel has very nice amenities, free hot apple cider in the lobby, an ipad for music and ordering room service in your room, complimentary newspaper of your choice delivered to the room, complimentary water was in a beautiful bottle and they left us yummy shortbread cookies each day. The service is, of course, top notch. We did eat breakfast there. I was a bit disappointed about that. It was quite expensive and the food and service were just mediocre. The location was perfect for us, central to everything we wanted to see.

It is a wonderful 5-star historic property with dedicated staff who seem to really take pride in ensuring each guest feels like their stay there is special. It’s in an extremely convenient location, which is why we selected it over a few other properties we looked into; but just how central and convenient the location is wasn’t fully revealed until we got there. Sometimes when traveling we find ourselves learning from the experience and knowing that next time we would stay at a different hotel, whether for a better location or we just spent so much time at the other property. Not so with The Jefferson. I think we would absolutely stay there again!
