Good
Acceptable hotel
The location is perfect and the reason to stay here. The bed was horrible and very hard. The couch was okay in the room but there was no coffee table and it was hard to see the tv from the couch. The bathroom needed a deeper clean and the water temperature had issues in the shower that maintenance fixed. There was a standing water smrll in the halleay that smelled bad.

Good price, but could use an upgrade
I have previously stayed at the Club Quarters in Chicago, and I am a big fan of the concept. However, this location is in considerably worse condition than the one I stayed at in Chicago. The hotel is old and could use an update. The room is noisy, and you can easily hear the doors opening and closing in the middle of the night. Some bad luck on our side. The smoke detector in our room started chirping in the middle of the night. We called the front desk, and it was fixed in ~30 minutes. That's about as well as a hotel can react, but in all the hotels I have stayed in (~30 nights per year), I have never had a smoke detector start chirping in the middle of the night. I'm not one to complain or ask for any compensation... but your smoke detector did malfunction and wake us up at 3 AM... I think that some sort of compensation should have been offered by the front desk. The room that we rented was defective. The smoke alarm should not be chirping at 3 AM. I think that this is just a sign that the hotel could use an investment to get it back up to the quality of other Club Quarters locations. The quality of the hotel is a step down from a standard Hampton Inn. Nice staff, good location, good price, but could use an upgrade. I would not suggest this hotel for a romantic weekend. Spend a little more and get yourself a better place.

Had a great time in DC. Walking distance to the White House and other attractions. Parking was easy and good price. Would recommend to others. Front desk was helpful with directions to local restaurants.
