Great sf hotel
Great sf hotel. Heated pool great for kids. Only con was that shower was slightly hard to adjust. Tended to be either super hot or cold. But wasn’t really a huge deal. Everything else was great. Would stay again.

Good place to stay, nothing too fancy
It was good, but lots of room for improvement. Toilets did not flush well, beds were small and hard (uncomfortable) and rooms got so humid. We liked that we had the family room with a sofa sleeper and it was nice to have coffee in the lobby and parking onsite was never an issue. The decor is fun too. Front desk staff was always helpful.

Charming hotel close to Market Street.
Great little hotel in a somewhat low-rent area. Close to major shopping area and some of the theaters. The hotel is charming with an art-deco/funky 'feel'. It has a heated pool, valet parking ($35) which is well-guarded and the rooms are set around small courtyards within two-buildings (thus, you're not exposed to the streets outside). The staff is super friendly and eager to help with any questions you may have.

Cute place with decent service in a bad area
The hotel was bright and clean, with a funky retro decor that I found very charming. I split the room with a colleague for a nearby conference, and for my purposes it was fine. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying in a Mid-Market hotel as a solo traveler or family with kids. The area is extremely socioeconomically diverse, with affluent tourists walking the same streets as homeless people with mental health issues, men shooting dice on the corner, and the occasional but obvious use of crackpipes. If you are from an dense, urban city this won’t be as much of a culture shock to you, but you should probably know self-defense or rely heavily on Uber if you stay here. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly, but not without annoyances in service. First, the room cards stopped working at least four times and we had to get them swapped out. Once, the new key didn’t work either. I also had issues trying to split the payment with my colleague (as we were getting reimbursed by separate entities). Trinlay (the manager, I think) said we could split payment easily, but the other staff insisted on putting the deposit back on my card which threw off our receipts. should definitely warn about the $200 deposit, since I would have arranged my check-in and payment differently had I known what was expected up front.

Great spot
My room was really large for a SF hotel room. It had a cool vintage feel and the windows actually opened up which was nice. It didnt have the awful chemical cleaning smell overpowering me and giving me a headache like many hotels do. Only thing is it doesnt have a fridge if you need that but you can always get ice and use the icebox.
