Very disappointing, 4 star decor, 1 star service !
Room not ready on arrival, despite turning up at 6pm. Asked if we'd like to wait in the bar despite us being with a 9 week old crying baby who needed breast feeding. Broken elevator, so a long waits to get to second floor room. Dirt and dust in room from maintenace which obviously wasn't properly cleaned up. Shower leaking on to bathroom floor. No parking space despite being told there would be plenty on arrival. No gluten free food on room service menu (I'm coeliac so strictly gluten free) despite being told there was, despite being told there was when we rang ahead to check). No gluten free bread or hot food at breakfast, and waiting staff not knowing what options there were (or caring). Being told my wife would have to pay at the separate hotel coffee bar if she wanted a decaf coffee, despite being charged £15 for breakfast. Not being offered any assistance with luggage or our pram even though one of the two lifts were broken. This hotel seems geared towards conferences and business clients, nice decor, terrible service, stay clear if you are a family.
