A Japan Rail hotel that has a view of Mount Fuji for rooms facing East (we were on the 12th floor). Close to a main street and the Iidabashi train station. Rooms are a standard Western (American) size.

A Quiet Oasis in Crowded Tokyo
I live in Japan, and it's become a once-a-year treat to go to Tokyo to stay at the Metropolitan Edmont. We just came home from our fifth visit there, and as always, everything was perfect. The reception staff were polite, helpful, and welcoming, the room was spotless and refreshing with crisp linens and myriad complimentary toilet articles, the location was quiet--off the main road but convenient to the nearby train station--and the 12 o'clock noon checkout gave us time to have a leisurely breakfast in the beautifully designed dining room with its high ceiling and huge windows that overlook a leafy courtyard and let in a lot of morning sunlight. The breakfast menu is extraordinarily varied--including traditional Japanese dishes such as burdock and lotus root, miso soup, steamed rice, Chinese dumplings, an assortment of fresh-baked bread, a salad bar, pizza and french fries, omelets made to order, bowls of sliced mangos and mandarin oranges, and desserts, even including cheesecake. Breakfast is a true feast--you'll be able to skip lunch--and the attentive staff will stop by your table often to refill your cup with their delicious coffee or tea. After a day of walking around busy, crowded Tokyo, the Metropolitan Edmont is like an oasis of comfort, quiet, and luxury, at what I consider a reasonable rate. We look forward to treating ourselves again next year with a night at this lovely hotel.
