A week in paradise
We had a lovely stay at the Stamford. I am wheelchair bound and the staff couldn't do enough for me, they were fabulous. The food was delicious too.We even managed a trip to the zoo. Doorman helped put the wheelchair in the boot and got us organised. He was so helpful.

Rooms are dated. Area seems unsafe at night with small gangs hanging out on either side of the hotel. Staff are friendly and the location has good access to the CBD, shops and restaurants. Internet requires a daily login, no big deal until you get cutoff in the middle of a video call.

When hotel was booked it said we had a room overlooking the parkland. Unfortunately our room was overlooking car parks. We could hear the TV of the room next to us very easily and we have not experienced that on any of our many other stays at the Stamford. Staff were good. We didn't have our room serviced but the $10 allowance for that couldn't be applied as we didn't eat at the hotel or use anything from the mini bar.We did enjoy our stay except for these couple of things.
