8/10 Very good

Really lovely hotel about 20 minutes walk from the nearest Tube station - High Barnet. Something to bear in mind - The hotel car park has capacity for 3 cars only, but there is plenty of unrestricted on street parking. The rooms are located on the first and second floor, but there is no lift for anyone with mobility issues. The room itself was nice and comfortable and had everything you could need, including tea making facilities. The breakfast choices were limited to a small menu, and the eggs Royale were very nice. However, the tea came in a small cup without a tea pot to go with it, and there was one toast with butter served per person and no jam/preserves on the table or any buffet choices at all (no pastries, no yorgurt, no fruit). This is understandable from the hotel point of view, as it is a very small one, but if you are the type of person who looks forward to the breakfast experience at a hotel, this hotel is not for you.

8/10 Very good

Lovely Hotel in Barnet
We enjoyed our stay and staff were very welcoming and friendly. It is a good hotel to stay in with spacious, clean rooms, with our only criticism being with the breakfast. The bacon looked undercooked and the breakfast not very appetising. There was also no fruit juice, cereals etc to help yourself to as in other hotels we have stayed in, so it was disappointing. Even though we paid for breakfast we did not have it on our second morning and chose to eat in a local cafe up the road. Overall we would stay here again as it is a lovely, clean hotel with very helpful staff and convenient for trains into central London.

6/10 Good

Good, but need to get the simple stuff right
I really would like to give this place a top review, as the room and the general ambience of the place is fantastic. However a huge let down last night when we were locked outside after arriving back late from a concert (caught in traffic). It's bad enough that a four star hotel should lock it's front door to its guests in the first place, even worse when there is nobody on hand to answer the bell or the phone. As it turns out there was a back door that was open, but nobody told us about this and a simple sign in the front window of the main door would have saved a lot of hassle.
