It's a good location, water front of Belleville. Service was good.

The place is in dire need of proper updating. It would appear they hired a terrible contractor to do the work but aesthetically you can tell it was done by an amateur. We had a hose connecting to the base of our sink instead of proper plumbing.... There were gross stains along the bed skirt. There was a half drank bottle of Pepsi in our fridge. The ceiling in the bathroom had clearly been subject to water damage. Our bed was broken... we slept in what felt like a taco all night The view was nice, but that's about it. When we told the staff about our less than pleasurable stay, they said "you should have told us"... we literally just had. I 0/10 recommend you stay here... this place is trash garbage.
We requested a water view room and got a street room. The water pressure when we got there was low and the next morning the toilet over flowed and there was water everywhere in the bathroom. Over all it was very comfy and our kids and dog enjoyed their time.
Such a disappointment. I wanted to spend a romantic evening with my husband for his birthday. I chose this hotel because of the location which is about the only good thing about it. Major ungrades needed. Cleaning was horribly done or not done at all. We had to change rooms because there were guests beside us that we could hear through the door that adjoins the rooms. The room we moved to did not have a table and couch so we had to eat our romantic dinner in bed. Overall very unsatisfied with our stay.
At about 1.30 am to 3.30 am the noise of shouting and screaming from the next door room - with an joining door-was unbearable ! There was no answer when I called downstairs for security, and eventually we just hammered on the door until they eventually stopped their screaming. No idea if it was young kids, teens or adults but I think a family group.
Evetything was good. However i found thd bed and pillows to he soft. Additionally i could havd used a small dining room style table.
First room we were given had few issues. Random microwave on the ground, fridge was not plugged in, not cleaned and had horrible smell, shelf missing in shower leaving random brackets sticking out. Second room had a crappy shower setup compared to first room, person in room next to us was either on phone or computer arguing with someone and screaming past midnight, was woken up next morning at 7am from same individual doing the same as the night before
We had our staff stay here it was excellent as always.
Room was fine. Thin walls could hear other guests in the night.
This was our 5th weekend Christmas visit in a row and we will not hesitate to make it a 6th visit next year. Very accommodating and engaging staff, extremely comfortable king size bed, very clean facility overall
The facilities are a little run down But I can’t be too critical because of the obvious Covid implications. But there was some issues with heating and in my room there wasn’t even a shower curtain. But I think that was just a clerical error and they made my room available when it shouldn’t have been so I will not be critical for that. But I will say that the front staff were incredibly helpful. The daytime manager at least was extremely helpful and we struggled to get a taxi because it is a small town but the manager called one of his friends and this person drove us to the train station to get us there on time. We are forever grateful and it is extremely charitable things like this that give hope back to discouraged. I even offered to give him 20 bucks because I knew he was a student and he absolutely refused saying that it was his pleasure. What a wonderful guy God bless him and thanks again to the manager at the Ramada.
