Amazing stay till I stripped the beds
From start to finish excellent..it was our sons birthday&the surprises in the room for him where phenomenal…made my eyes leak when my husband sent a photo before I arrived to join them…check in staff,pool staff,breakfast staff 1st class…we love this hotel…I always strip the beds to help the staff…was sad to find the bed my husband had been sleeping in had fresh blood on the mattress protector which had soaked through…when I removed it the mattress was stained with lots of urine sadly…the blood issue would have been seen before the bed was made up with the bed sheet…before our arrival never mind the urine stained mattress covered over with blood stained mattress protector…I brought this up with the manageress and they all looked embarrased&shocked as was I being put in this position after such a faultless stay…the manageress said she couldn’t refund the stay as I’d booked with hotels.com.offered a £50 reduction off a future stay.the staff are very kind it was heartfelt…just such a shame there bedroom staff failed us….my husband is very ill…sad to know he slept on such filth so close to his face…I’m only sharing all this as hotels.com asked for a review…if we didn’t love this hotel so much we wouldn’t return…
