A pleasant stay
The restaurant was not open when we checked in at 3pm and so we had to order from the bar menu , I had researched and the website said there would be afternoon tea but this was none existent,the food came promptly and was ok but I would’ve expected to be able to eat in the restaurant, the double room was very small with a view of a brick wall , I feel that the marketing for the rooms is misleading, why does the room say ‘View’ if there isn’t a view , I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past many times before it’s refurbishment and thought I’d try it again, the furnishings and change to reception is definitely a thumbs up but what a shame about the restaurant opening times

Needs improvement
Stayed in the Mews. Rooms are okay but could be better.No bottled water, no fridge, no information folders, no phone. All stark and basic.-all the emphasi is getting information by online. Doesn't look like they are trying much. Arrive 10:20 for breakfast and told that service ended at 10:30 and already buffet was depleted with one croissant only. No effort made to top up and just felt harried and hurried to get finished and leave staff to clear up! Reception staff and bar staff friendly and helpful.
