Great stay for business trips

Always a great stay here, clean, comfortable and great bar and dinner.

6/10 Good

Friendly good price but don’t pay for breakfast.

Staff were friendly. Room was ok but a bit dingy. Shower was slightly blocked so water wasn’t draining to great. Went to breakfast about 9:30 and they were serving till 10:30, but there was just scraps left. So our paid breakfast was 2 slices of toast. I see people asking where the food was and they were bringing out the odd item out separately so we paid for nothing.

Enjoyable stay

We stay in this hotel quite often as it is near family. The staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast is very nice. Some parts of the hotel are a little tired and need a refurb but rooms are fine, warm and beds comfortable. Price of room is very reasonable.

Aubrey Park

Very spacious hotel and nice surroundings, although the hotel is looking old and tired and much in need of refurbishment, as old carpets and lift have heavy pungent smell, and unpleasant when moving around the hotel
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Don’t believe the pictures

Very run down hotel, shower leaking into carpet through the wall, central heating not working so had a very old electric fire with a piece of wood as a foot!Smells of damp, curtain ripped, dirty room, couldn’t use kettle or cups as stank and had a sticky film on cups, toilet leaking water, very noisy pump, completely different to website photos!

Lovely hotel in a remote location.

8/10 Very good

Venue was where my training was held so convenient. Was a pleasant stay though some areas seemed a little dated.
Helene, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel was clean and spacious and the staff friendly. There were no restaurant facilities but as I was visiting relatives it didn’t matter to me but could have been an issue if I hadn’t already eaten as there are no eating places nearby without a drive. I wasn’t informed if this when I booked
Gillian, 1-night trip

I booked the king suite, its huge, lovely sofa area and the biggest bed ever! Complimentary water and snacks were a nice touch.

2/10 Poor

Worst sleep over run down hotel

Absolutely bad experience, room was totally run down in need of a full freshen up ,light in bathroom hanging from ceiling stains on walls and carpet where water leak had happened bed uncomfortable poor quality pillows ,had no sleep due to couple on drugs next door shouting and talking loudly ,got moved to another room at 3:20am ,couldn’t sleep in that room due to toilet constantly filling with water all morning ,breakfast was very small and overcooked
Michael, 1-night trip

The room and food were excellent.

Perfect stay if you travel with dog
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We had stayed there before, when we arrived the heating in our room didn’t work but the lovely receptionist sorted us out with a fan heater for the second night. Bit disappointed that our room wasn’t cleaned at all for our 2nd night ( just emptying the bins would have been nice!) Another area for improvement would be to fix the massive potholes at the entrance of the car park… but the location is great and the staff are really lovely!

Rundown hotel

The horel looks a lot better in the online photos. Sadly the building is very rundown. There were leaking radiators and stained carpets, the corridors were very cold. The exterior of the building was in a terrible state with paint peeling off and we could see a pile of pallets outside our window and the gardens were overgrown. That said the staff were polite and helpful and the breakfast was ok however we wont be returning. 😕
